Ch. El-Shaddai's Aijeleth Shahar

Aija was my pick from the Kamar x Sierra litter. It was a tough choice, since the grizzle girl was such a Kamar look-alike that she stole my heart the minute she was born. By eight weeks of age, however, Anna and I agreed that we would both benefit by taking the puppy most unlike what we each already had. Hence, she kept the more compact grizzle girl, and I took the elegant red one. Both girls have since added to the Aijalon family. Aija is the dam of River & littermates, by Levi's son, Ch. Qadim Kahtahdin Ibn Levi, and Essie later produced my wonderful little Mira.

Aija has always been busy. At ten years old, she has finally slowed down a bit… but just a bit. Her early antics - leaping onto the top of furniture without any warning, and her penchant for stealing food - earned her the nicknames "Busy-brain", "Tallest of All-est", and "Lucy" (after the famous trouble-making redhead). "Luuuuucccyyyyy…you've got a lot of 'splaining to do."

Aija loves fortune cookies, and the first one she successfully stole (after numerous thwarted attempts) said it all: "Your hard work and determination will pay off."
