History
SIGH (Salukis In Good Health) was formed on the Internet in September of 1996, when Saluki fanciers from all over the world realized they had a unique opportunity to use the benefits of the Internet--instant information exchange and world-wide scope-to gather and process data about issues of Saluki health.
Mission Statement:
SIGH's mission is: to formulate a standard set of questionnaires, necropsy protocols, and information collecting systems to gather data on Saluki health; set up a computer database system that will contain and coordinate data; to make our data available to medical researchers for their input and assistance in identifying potential problems; and to develop and utilize database analyzing facilities to process that data to determine patterns and statistics which might help Saluki breeders to track down, eliminate, and prevent future health problems in the breed.
